Family and Children
Thank you so much for trusting me to capture your family’s memories. I will do my very best to craft the most gorgeous images, and produce high quality products from the best companies nation and worldwide. What you should expect from the session is an unforgettable experience, working together as partners, and as a result portraits to cherish for a lifetime.
FAMILY, CHILDREN AND MILESTONE SESSIONS
Family sessions should be fun and a great way for the family to connect out of their routine. We’ll work around the kids’ schedule, and plan age-appropriate activities to capture gorgeous posed portraits as well as sweet candid shots and family moments.
Milestone sessions will focus on the stage your baby is in: 4 months when baby is developing a personality and is able to hold up their head and smile naturally, 7-8 months when baby is sitting up unassisted and practicing crawling and 12 months to celebrate their first birthday!
Session takes approximately one hour and will be customized according to your family style. Once your session is booked, you will receive a Preparation Guide with lots of tips on how to prepare for your session.
+ What is the best time for outdoor images?
Our outdoor sessions are scheduled during the late afternoons, around sunset, or in the early mornings to capture the natural magical light. This ensures that your session is bathed in the most flattering glow, creating a beautiful setting for your portraits.
+ What is the best time for studio shoots?
Studio sessions can take place any time of the day, since we don't rely on natural available light. For the best results, I suggest scheduling in the morning or immediately after your baby/kid's first nap to ensure they are well-rested and in a cheerful mood.
+ Are sibling/parents shots included in milestone sessions?
Absolutely! Family shots are an integral part of our sessions and are always included. The choice is yours, whether you prefer to focus solely on capturing baby or include the entire family. A supplementary fee will apply exclusively to extended family members, pets, or any additional individuals participating in the session.
+ What happens if it rains?
Should there be rain in the forecast approaching an outdoor session, we will promptly reschedule, taking into consideration our mutual availability.
+ What are the options for locations?
Choose the setting that suits you best - opt for a session in my NYC home studio, outdoors, or even both! I am flexible to shoot anywhere in NYC and can travel for a nominal fee. Some of my preferred city locations include Central Park, Brooklyn Bridge Park, Stuyvesant Town and Carl Shurz Park. However, I am always open to suggestions and excited to brainstorm new ideas with you. Let's create beautiful memories at your preferred location!
+ Can we plan a mini session?
I don't believe in the concept of family mini sessions. Although intended to provide a glimpse of a full session, they often result in rushed, stressful, and artificial experiences, limiting the opportunity for kids to express their true selves or capture the genuine nature of family connections. While a session doesn't necessarily have to span a full hour, I prefer to build on the natural flow of our time together, allowing for a more relaxed and authentic experience.
+ Do you recommend studio or outdoors?
The choice depends on the desired aesthetic. Personally, I have a preference for the controlled environment of a studio setting during the first year, and the dynamic rhythm outdoors for toddlers and larger families. Toddlers, with their active nature and love for exploration, often enjoy and perform better in outdoor sessions.
+ What happens if my baby is sick?
To ensure a comfortable and enjoyable experience for everyone involved, it's essential to prioritize the well-being of your little one. If your child is unwell, rescheduling the session is a must, as a sick child may not fully enjoy the experience, and not every crust or runny nose can be corrected in post-production. Additionally, maintaining a high level of safety is crucial, especially for newborns who will be photographed in the following days. We are committed to being extra diligent, and with any indication of illness or exposure, we will promptly reschedule our shoot. Your baby's health and safety are our top priorities.
+ Are the images retouched?
Each portrait in your private online gallery, consisting of 30-60 unique images, comes complete with professional post-processing and artistic editing and retouching.
+ How much should I budget for the session?
A Creative Fee of $295 to $500 is paid to secure your date. It covers the Photographer's time and talent, pre-consultation via phone or email, a customized styled session, use of props, and professional post-processing with artistic editing for your exclusive online gallery. Please note, the creative fee does not cover prints, products, or digital images, which are available for purchase through digital collections and/or à la Carte options. Clients typically invest between $895 and $2500 in images from their personalized photography session. For detailed pricing information, feel free to contact the studio.
+ Why is the creative fee different on weekends?
As a mom to two kids who are in school during the week, weekends are the only time I get to cherish with them. Consequently, my weekend schedule is limited and tends to book up quickly.
+ Are you vaccinated?
Absolutely! I am current with my TdaP vaccine, receive yearly flu shots, and have been fully vaccinated and boosted against COVID.
