I’m Luciana Golcman, an award-winning New York City based fine art photographer specializing in newborn, maternity, baby, cake smash, and family portraiture. My work is defined by timeless minimalism, intentional light, and a modern elegance inspired by New York life.
Photography is deeply personal to me. I capture my children constantly, and those images have become my way of holding onto moments that would otherwise fade away. I value photography not just for what it shows, but for what it keeps.
I love sunsets and baby cheeks, have major wanderlust, and truly believe that traveling and eating well can cure just about any blues.
Born and raised in Brazil and shaped by over 20 years in New York, my style blends a Brazilian warmth with New York’s classic-meets-modern sensibility. I’m drawn to honest moments, beautiful light, and images that feel effortless while standing the test of time.
As a newborn photographer in NYC, I’m known to many as the “baby whisperer”. I bring a calm, patient presence into every session; with great care given to gentle posing, thoughtful planning, and meticulous editing so each image feels natural, polished, and complete.
I’m also a mother to two incredible, strong girls, which gives me a deep understanding of just how fleeting these moments are. They are my greatest inspiration and (yes!) amazing models too. I approach every session with intention, care, and deep respect for the memories you’re trusting me to create.
